My name is Davide Romano. I was born in Turin in 1986 and have lived in Padua since 2015. Before entering the iGaming world, I worked six years as a research analyst at two market research firms (one American, one German), building comparative rankings for consumer categories: smartphones, online banking, insurance, streaming platforms. I learned that useful rankings are those with transparent and reproducible methodology β anyone, with the same data, should reach the same result.
In 2016 I moved into iGaming publishing, bringing this approach with me. On playio-live-it.com I build and maintain the composite ranking model: 18 measurable metrics, 42 non-ADM casinos tracked, monthly updates. The ranking reflects where Playio sits in the segment β no intuitive "editorial opinion".
The method is composite scoring, the same one used by Consumer Reports, Which?, JD Power. It applies to gambling with some adjustments:
For full transparency, here's the list of metrics, sub-metrics and weights:
Welcome value, wagering, cashout cap, validity, slot contribution. Cashback, reloads, VIP cashback.
Crypto count, crypto withdrawal speed, KYC time, fees, β¬/day limit, Apple/Google Pay support.
Title count, top provider coverage, average RTP, RTP version transparency, live casino completeness.
Live chat times (peak hours + off-peak), response quality, supported languages, multi-channel.
Installable PWA, Apple/Google Pay deposit, top-provider slot smoothness, biometric login.
License authority weight, SSL, 2FA option, RNG audit, no-breach history.
Number of tiers, cashback %, account manager, premium events, decay transparency.
Cashout cap evidence, max bet evidence, public VIP thresholds.
This site earns through affiliation: if a visitor signs up at Playio via one of our CTA links and subsequently deposits, the operator pays us a commission. This does not influence the ranking score, because the score is a mathematical function of the 18 metrics.
If Playio worsened the T&C, the score would drop. If a competitor with better conditions entered, Playio would slide down the ranking. The ranking is anti-fragile with respect to the commercial interests of whoever publishes it.
I don't build ad-hoc rankings to "shift" Playio to #1 when the data doesn't justify it. I don't obscure the real positions in sub-rankings where Playio is weak (#11 transparency, #15 cashout, #22 β¬/day limit). I don't sell "ranking consulting" to casinos: the model must remain independent of the business model.
For transparency, the data base as of May 2026:
